Legal
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quantica website and learning platform (the "Service") provided by Quantica Education, Inc. ("Quantica," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create or hold an account. That applies to the person whose name and email address are on the account, and there is no exception to it. If you are under 13, you may not sign up and you may not hold an account.
Younger learners are still welcome here. The rule is about who holds the account, not who reads the lessons. If your child is under 13, create the account in your own name with your own email address and let your child work through the lessons on it. You stay the account holder and you stay responsible for everything done on the account. Do not enter your child's name, email address, or other personal details into the account or into the tutor chat.
Letting your own child learn on your household account is allowed and is not the account sharing prohibited in section 5. Sharing your account with people outside your household still is.
If you are 13 or older but under 18, you may hold your own account. Please read these Terms with a parent or guardian first.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. If we learn that an account holder is under 13, we will close the account and delete the personal information we hold for it.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@quanticaedu.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Chapter 1 of every course is available to all registered users at no charge, and stays that way. Access to the rest of a course requires an active paid subscription, or a trial access grant issued at our discretion.
During the early access period, we may grant free trial access to some or all paid content. Trial access is temporary and may be revoked or converted to a paid subscription at any time with reasonable notice.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select). By subscribing, you authorize Quantica to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your payment card details.
You agree to use the Service only for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree not to:
All course content, lesson text, problem sets, solutions, graphics, and software on the Service are owned by Quantica Education, Inc. and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our content beyond personal learning on the platform.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular educational outcome will result from using it. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantica and its founders, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
